GLEE LIVE 2011
Okay… where to start. How ‘bout at the beginning of the day. So, me and my friend are SPRINTING around the mall trying to find the perfect red and navy striped tie, and NO ONE HAD IT. I swear everyone in every department store knows us now as the “crazy obsessed tie girls.” We FINALLY find the tie in Nordstroms and we literally start bowing down to it and pretty much hero worshiping it… very loudly… in public. Unfortunately, it was silk and $53, but being the mega gleek I am, I bought it anyway. My home-made Warblers costume ended up looking pretty bad ass if I do say so myself.
So we head off to the Staples center all wearing our pink Darren glasses, looking dapper as ever. We get there, go inside, AND THEY TELL US SOMEONE FORGED TWO OF OUR TICKETS AND WE CANT GO IN. Almost in tears (and at the same time having heart attacks because we are in the same building as the Glee Cast) we wait while my Dad battles it out with management. (I’m very grateful my dad is such a Gleek) Long story short; we ended up getting tickets that were THREE TIMES BETTER than the ones we paid for!!!
Turns out THEY ARE EVEN BETTER LIVE IF THAT IS POSSIBLE. Darren was breath-taking. He has the most amazing stage presence. Best female voice by far was Amber Ryley. MAN, she can SING! We waved to her onstage and she smiled and pointed at us!!! I DIED! Naya ROCKED IT, and was gorgeous. Also, surprisingly Jenna is MUCH better live. She does not have a bad voice AT ALL. Chris was HOT and sang like an angel (He made me cry multiple times) He’s more flexible then ME! Lea was… well… kind of the same :/ but still incredible. Mark Salling seriously made my knees shake! HE NEEDS TO SING MORE! Heather and Kevin are CRAZAY good dancers. OH MY GOD. Cory was as adorably bad at dancing as everyone says. Diana and Chord had barely any solos! Made me sad :( I really wish it had been longer!!!!
I wanted to say that I have new found respect for Heather Morris. When we were waiting out in the cold to see them drive by in there giant Escalades she was the ONLY one who rolled down her window and waved and smiled. It was just really sweet of her. But I saw Darren through the window!!! and he saw me in my Warblers suit and pink glasses and he smiled. :)
I really had an AMAZING time and I can’t WAIT for Season 3!!!
